Lois Jean "The Dooper" Doop
Jeannie Passed away at home in Santa Rosa on October 26, 2008 after a three year journey with cancer. Born in Kansas March 18, 1933. She leaves her partner of 43 years, Doris Collins. Also survived by niece Katie Ezell, great-nephew Scott Wells, great-niece Kristi Wells, cousin Tom (Barbara) Patterson, and numerous other family members and friends. U.S. Air Force Veteran. Retired from Hewlett-Packard/Agilent after 30 years. Avid baseball fan, worked for the Sonoma County Crushers, and volunteered with bird rescue. Also survived by her beloved cat Miss Charlotte. Friends are invited to a celebration of Jeannie's life on Saturday, November 15, at 11:30 a.m., at the Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Ave., Santa Rosa. Donations may be sent to American Lung Association, Bird Rescue Center of Santa Rosa, or Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County. Jeannie was treasured as one of a kind by all who knew her.
